Where’s my pen ?

Sawadee Khrap

Here’s a cute one from Paul’s Sunday Funnies.

A nurse walks into a bank totally exhausted after a 20 hour shift.  Preparing to write a check, she pulls a rectal thermometer out of her purse and tries to write with it.

She looks at the flabbergasted teller and without missing a beat says,  "Well, that’s great….that’s really great……… some asshole’s  got my pen."

Weird Things You would Never Know!!

Sawadee Khrap

Here are some obscure facts, thanks to Paul’s Funny Newsletter, that most people don’t know.

A shrimp’s heart is in its head.

The ‘sixth sick sheik’s sixth sheep’s sick’ is said to be the toughest tongue twister in the English language.

Rats multiply so quickly that in 18 months, two rats could have over a million descendants.

Wearing headphones for just an hour will increase the bacteria in your ear by 700 times.

If the government has no knowledge of aliens, then why does Title 14,Section 1211 of the Code of Federal Regulations, implemented on July 16 1969, make it illegal for U.S. citizens to have any contact with extraterrestrials or their vehicles?

But wait, there’s more

Great weekend

Sawadee Khrap       Here’s a good one from Kevin  (modified !!)

A balding, white haired man from USA , walked into a jewelry store in Bangkok this past Friday evening with a very handsome but much younger young man at his side.
He told the jeweler he was looking for a special ring for his boyfriend. The jeweler looked through his stock and brought out a $5,000 ring.

The man said, ‘No, I’d like to see something more special.’

At that statement, the jeweler went to his special stock and brought another ring over. ‘Here’s a stunning ring at only $40,000 the jeweler said. The lad’s eyes sparkled and his whole body trembled with excitement. The old man seeing this said, ‘We’ll take it.’

The jeweler asked how payment would be made and the man stated, ‘by check. I know you need to make sure my check is good, so I’ll write it now and you can call the bank Monday to verify the funds and I’ll pick the ring up Monday afternoon.’

On Monday morning, the jeweler angrily phoned the old man and said ‘There’s no money in that account.’

‘I know,’ said the old man,

‘But let me tell you about MY GREAT WEEKEND!’

Chiang Mai Camera Club meeting

Sawadee Khrap

It’s been a long time since the last post – not busy but lazy – But this coming Tuesday is the meeting of the Chiang Mai Camera Club at the Sangdee Gallery at 7 PM  – 17th .    Brian sent out this notice, but I thought I’d post it here too for those who may plan to attend and are not on the mailing list yet.

“Always trying to do something which will help learning I have found a very pretty model, 24 years old and experienced.
She will come to Sangdee and pose for us. The lights and backdrop will be supplied by me and it will be a great opportunity
to follow up on Johns example of lighting we did a couple of months back. (don’t worry if you weren’t there then!)

We have to pay the model 600 baht for an hours session  I propose those who wish to take photographs (maximum 6)
split the costs of 600 Baht: so if there are only 4 photographers, each would pay 150 Baht. It is not necessary to have
a smart camera. Flash wont be needed as adequate lighting will be provided. It will be fun to see the results the following
meeting .I hope someone uses a mobile phone camera!!!

You don’t have to be a photographer to attend the meeting, you are welcome to come and watch without obligation.

Please confirm at this weeks meeting (with a payment) if you would like to photograph the model.

This meeting we will show a couple of short movies on composition and what attracts they eye in a  photograph.”

Hope to see everyone there – should be a great meeting and especially with the model –

Happy Easter–He has risen

Sawadee Khrap

Happy Easter to everyone

This is a good time of reflection for me.  1988, the year God took away my compulsion to drink and I realized a personal relationship with Christ.   Not the “christ” taught by the “church” ( each domination insisting their doctrine is the only true one) BUT, a real, personal, loving relationship with Jesus “The Christ”.  Accepting of all, without condemnation, based on Love and Acceptance.

That’s been 23 years, without drink  (and 22 years without smoke) and a real struggle to change my way of thinking and acting.  23 years of trying to come to terms with who and what I really am.  “A Child of God – One with Christ.

Not much to say about it – only my actions can really tell the truth – Jesus said “If you love me you will follow my commandments” – I can only hope and pray for the strength to do that – as He said “If you see me, you see my Father” – and I can only pray that others see a clearer reflection of God through me.

This is the world of differences, hatred, ego based decisions, limited, lonely and without hope, ending in death.  And YET, in this world, Christ has shown me a glimpse of Heaven.  Opened my eyes and set me on a path of discovery and peace.  I don’t even want to mention sexuality but my being “gay” was a major obstacle I had to come to terms with.  I love being me, I don’t want to be limited to any broad classification or group, I don’t want a label, I am just Frank, and I prefer to be in the company of men, and I thank God I have been brought to Thailand.  The story begins anew each day.

He Has Risen – Blessed Easter

Pea stopped by

Sawadee Khrap

_MG_2605-Edit-2Pea stopped by for a very short snapshot session – We plan on doing more next week when we have more time – But I thought you would like to see this handsome man’s portraits.  I did several shots when he was a monk in earlier posts – but really look forward to doing some sexy shots in the future – if he agrees I’ll post them here for all to see.

As you can see he is very striking and even better in person. Quite photogenic so I will have a lot to work with for some future shots.

Anyway  enjoy

Taxes Taxes Taxes it’s that time

Sawadee Khrap

At the end of the tax year, the IRS office sent an inspector to audit the books of a local hospital.

While the IRS agent was checking the books, he turned to the CFO of the hospital and said, "I notice you buy a lot of bandages.  What do you do with the end of the roll when there’s too little left to be of any use?"

"Good question ," noted the CFO.  "We save them up and send them back to the bandage company and every once in a while, they send us a free roll."

"Oh," replied the auditor, somewhat disappointed that his unusual question had a practical answer.  But on he went, in his obnoxious way. "What about all these plaster purchases?  What do you do with what’s left over after setting a cast on a patient?"

"Ah, yes," replied the CFO, realizing that the inspector was trying to trap him with an unanswerable question.  "We save it and send it back to the manufacturer and every so often they will send us a free bag of plaster."

"I see," replied the auditor, thinking hard about how he could fluster the know-it-all CFO.  "Well," he went on, "What do you do with all the remains from the circumcision surgeries?"

"Here, too, we do not waste," answered the CFO.  "What we do is save all the little foreskins and send them to the IRS office, and about once a year they send us a complete prick."

Thanks Jim for this one.

Your Mobile Phone–did you know?

Sawadee Khrap

Here are 5 important things that most people don’t know their mobile phone will do.   Thanks Max for sending me this info.

Emergency Number worldwide

For all Mobile Phones is 112. If you find yourself out of  the coverage area of your mobile network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and your mobile will search any existing network in your area to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked. This works on all phones worldwide and is free. It is the equivalent of 999.

Have you  locked your keys in the car?

Does  your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone:  If you lock your keys in the car Continue reading “Your Mobile Phone–did you know?”

Beauty Hunter–David’s Blog is back on

Sawadee Khrap

BeautyHunterDavid, in London, got his Google Blog “Beauty Hunter” back up and running.  It was shut down for some unknown reason by the censor gods of Google.  He’s got a post about it so I won’t elaborate here.  Welcome back David and all the luck keeping it up. (pardon the pun)
