Sawasdee Khrap

We have had several inquires about how to post comments – Apparently something doesn’t work correctly on the site. At the bottom of the article, or footer of each post, there should be a line similar to:

Category (i.e. Main)                    Post a Comment

or

Main, Thai Holidays                      1 Comment (Show inline)

You should just be able to click on “Post a Comment” and it will open up the editor. Posts already having comments should show, as in the example above “1 Comments (Show inline) and clicking on this link will display the comments and the editor so you can add your comments.

If this doesn’t work I will need to change the theme – or maybe it would be best to change the color, for example “red” would be more visible. What would be your suggestions – Please try out the comment link and if it does not work you can email me and I will change the code.

Also “Login “ at the present time is limited to staff only. When we get in our new apartment and the computers are set up again I will remove it from the main menu. In the future we do want to allow others to be able to post articles and they will have to login to do so. We will let you know when and how to sign-up as a author. We do want your participation.

Sawasdee Khrap

Normally I just put in posts about my travels in Thailand – but this time I have some bad news – Tasanai is no longer with us. We will miss him.

The web-site and store operations will be handled completely out of San Francisco while Theo is searching for a replacement to hire.  The new “storefront” software should be installed and operating very soon.  I understand that it will be initially limited to PayPal only transactions but should have full credit card capabilities within the next few months.  In addition, he is also using this time to review your great suggestions and make the site easier to use.

Well, with the bad news out of the way, I try to get back to my retirement.  I will be looking forward to some new excursions to Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai’s “unseen” treasures and hope to have some pictures and posts to share.

This is our new format – Please check it out and leave a comment or suggestion. Most of the pages have been completed and I hope you like them. We have not opened the site up to full traffic yet. We plan to publish to the search engines as soon as the “Store” portion is fully functional.

The store isn’t open yet because we had to change software – the cart we were using, or trying to use, wouldn’t handle our products correctly, so we are setting up a new one. Also searching for a special product was a real problem – seemed to take forever and was not a simple point and click. Hopeful the new cart will eliminate these problems.

Sawasdee Pee Mai — HAPPY NEW YEAR from Chiang Mai.

It’s Thai New Year here and everyone is soaking wet — The Blog is up and running but the Store is still under construction. We are in the process of adding products and designing the Theme. I just broke the Gallery, so it should be back on about the end of this month — Sorry

Thank You for waiting, I know you won’t be dissapointed.
