In 2009 with my old Canon 10D, I had the honor to have Gabby pose for me when he was visiting Chiang Mai. Hereâ€™s one of the shots we produced , but at that time I had just setup my home studio I was struggling with the lighting â€“ results very grainy and high noise images. I havenâ€™t heard from him for several years now, but will send him a link to this post and hope to hear from him and see how heâ€™s doing.

I spend a lot of time trying out new ideas - and I see I havenâ€™t posted any images for a long time so hereâ€™s the latest technique I am working on â€“ Applying a wrinkled cover to posters and billboards.
I used this photo as an example – I am going to start to do more full screen storytelling images going beyond my usual model portraits. But I also need to practice producing realistic shadows, blends and distortions.
And hereâ€™s a new technique I found on the web for a more artistic treatment of a standard portrait – the modification of this technique is endless.
So many thing to test out and different approaches to learn â€“ WOW what hobby.
