The Magic Bank Account

Author Unknown:  This was found in the billfold of Alabama Coach Paul Bear Bryant, after he died in 1982.     Imagine that you had won the following *PRIZE* in a contest:    Each morning your bank would deposit $86,400 in your private account for your use.  However, this prize has rules:

  1.  Everything that you didn’t spend during each day would be taken away from you.  You may not simply transfer money into some other account.   You may only spend it.
  2. Each morning upon awakening, the bank opens your account with another $86,400 for that day.   The bank can end the game without warning; at any time it can say, “Game Over!”  It can close the account and you will not receive a new one.

What would you personally do?   You would buy anything and everything you wanted right? Not only for yourself, but for all the people you love and care for. Even for people you don’t know, because you couldn’t possibly spend it all on yourself, right?  You would try to spend every penny, and use it all, because you knew it would be replenished in the morning, right?

ACTUALLY, This GAME is REAL…    Shocked? YES! !    Each of us is already a winner of this *PRIZE*. We just can’t seem to see it.  The PRIZE is *TIME*

  1. Each morning we awaken to receive 86,400 seconds as a gift of life.  And when we go to sleep at night, any remaining time is Not credited to us.  What we haven’t used up that day is forever lost.  Yesterday is forever gone.
  2. Each morning the account is refilled, but the bank can dissolve your account at any time WITHOUT WARNING…

SO, what will YOU do with your 86,400 seconds?   Those seconds are worth so much more than the same amount in dollars.   Think about it and remember to enjoy every second of your life, because time races by so much quicker than you think.  So take care of yourself, be happy, love deeply and enjoy life!   Here’s wishing you a wonderful and beautiful day. Start “spending” and make your TIME count….   Be grateful every new morning is a new beginning.  Full of new opportunities to live life.  “DON’T COMPLAIN ABOUT GROWING OLD…!”    SOME PEOPLE DON’T GET THE PRIVILEGE!

Thanks Kevin for sending this in !

Mae Hong Son trip

Sawadee Khrap

1-mae-hong-sonTested out the Vitara – very nice and I think very good gas mileage – 8 KM/Liter for the LPG and 6 KM/Liter for 95 Gasohol.  The road is constant IMG_3333curves and extremely hilly – they boast of over 2000 + curves –  a real test of full load mileage.  – I didn’t switch between the two – just ran on 3/4 tank of LPG for the first leg of the trip – to Mae Hong Son – 255 KM  – then switched to Gasohol for the balance.  You can really tell the difference in power using LPG – Gasohol gives you much more power but poorer mileage  Still had a little less than half a tank gasohol left when we got back – estimated IMG_3346total mileage possible using both – 700 KM in hard driving – Flat Highway mileage should be much better. I’ll test it later with a trip to Pattaya or Isaan now that I have good transportation.  Saifha went with me and we did get some photos – where they were taken is posted on the map and I am preparing them now – will post shortly.   It was not good weather – COLD.

Back to Valsartan

Sawadee Khrap

Had to change the meds again – Ibersartan after several months started to cause ED again – Damn, finding the right combination is proving to be a real task.  So for the last two weeks I switched back to the first , and I might add the most successful, blood pressure medicine I had taken  – one year and no ED problems – Valsartan.  Things are starting to look up – sorry for the pun – again and I also combined all the meds into a single dosage every morning.  Fish Oil, Turmeric, Folic Acid, Peppercorn, Cialis, Coco, and Valsartan 160mg. Took a week to get rid of the Ibersartan effects – I’ll go in on Wednesday morning for a check up and blood testing to make sure everything is still on tract, but I feel fine, calm and relaxed – even driving  so it must still be working.  I did read the the US Veteran’s Hospitals have dropped Ibersartan and replaced it with Valsartan – so I hope I get the same results.  When I first took it my anxiety levels were off the charts so blood pressure control was erratic but now it should work.

Speaking for driving – the new wheels are great – I had solar screens installed in all the windows and great sun blockage now – for the last 2 day didn’t need it  as we are in a deep cold from China – rain and 9-12 C  – that is COLD.   Also had a rear camera installed so that now, when in reverse, the DVD player shows the back up screen – neat.  Using both the LPG and gasohol,  I think I will get about 500-600KM/ per fill-up.  Great for those long trips and so I’m going on a 2 day – 4-5 hour (each way) trip to Mae Hong Son with a friend just to test it out and get in some driving and photos.  Hoping the rain stops before we go – leaving Wednesday morning after the doctor visit.

Rise of the OILigarchy

Here is one video you should not miss.    Click to startOil

Particularly in the case of modern medicine – I have felt this directly  and have finally wise up and tried to return to natural sources. I have finally eliminated all except the Blood Pressure med “Valsartan”  – now only natural products, Fish oil, Turmeric, Peppercorn, Coco, Apple Cider Vinegar, Oatmeal, with a diet high in fish and raw vegetable salads.  Ohhh and Cialis – that still helps  Angry smile.

My New car

Sawadee Khrap

20160116_113204Just got me a new set of wheels – used but in excellent condition.  Suzuki Grand Vitara  4WD  5-door with all the extras.  It has special reinforced front/rear bumpers and engine roll bar,  Gas and LPG dual fuel systems, and special emergency horns, lights and anti-theft ignition lock, actually the same package designed for many Gov’t vehicles.  I’ll post more as I start to get used to it and get some trips under my belt.

Christopher Ryan’s work

Sawadee Khrap

Check out Christopher’s website for some nude modeling and art.ChristopherHe has some great images – I really like the “Studio C Nudes” in the “Artistic Male Nudes” collection  – don’t miss his “Gingerbread Man Bodypainting” series.  He’s moving to BKK later this month and we have been talking about him possibly coming to Chiang Mai for a  visit and shoot here.  He saw my work on my “ModelMayhem” and got in touch.   I’m looking forward to meeting him and seeing what we can develop.  I’m not a body painter, so that’s out,   but getting some poses and doing some Photoshop work and backgrounds, I am sure I can create some images that will stand out and really add to his portfolio.
