My thought for Today

Sawadee Khrap

“Neither do I condemn you. Go and live in sin no more. ”  Jesus told the lady –

“The final judgment on the world contains no condemnation. For it sees the world as totally forgiven, without sin and wholly purposeless.  Without a cause , and now without a function in Christ’s sight, it merely slips away to nothingness.  There it was born, and there it ends as well.  And all the figures in the dream in which the world began go with it.  Bodies now are useless, and will therefore fade away, because the Son of God is limitless.”

©ACIM. Lesson 331  #10  What is the last Judgment ?

To all those that condemn certain lifestyles or any other perceived sins of this world,  Jesus did lead the way.

Mimosa again

Sawadee Khrap

Went to Mimosa again last night with Mark and Pooh.   There seems to be many postings on the internet and they keep talking about the 1200 Baht foreigner entrance fee — ???    Not sure and actually I didn’t ask last night – but we were charged 50 Baht each.  Didn’t seem to make a difference if we were Thai or not.   _MG_1062Got there about 5:30 so I could have some daylight for photos, caught the end of the first show and waited for the second performance.  Great show with the “Indian fire act” -  I had heard about it last time I was there and didn’t want to miss it.  Then we went for dinner at a French restaurant, _MG_1896Dammit,  didn’t get the name, but had a great dinner  – little pricy but adequate serving size for the price.  Nice photo, I think I’ll try making a painting from it.  That’s Mark and Pooh ordering.

Note:   139 photos so make sure you have time

My favorite  was the Indian fire act, but as I usually do, I didn’t stick around to get _MG_1792-Editnames nor had enough small change to ask the girls (all the “Girls” at Mimosa are Ladyboys) for photos with them – Mark posed with one of the girls from Roi Et – but it was dark and not a good shot ( it’s in the slideshow) – I was set up for night shooting without flash, so it’s not a shot I would normally show.

As for the cost of getting in – I checked with the Mimosa Facebook page and no mention of ticket cost  – but it is now considered the start of the busy season and the pricing is still 50 Baht at the door.

Next time I will take some 20’s and get photos of the girls.

P.S.     I have a new model coming over tomorrow – so stay tuned , should have some images to post.

My new Theme

Sawadee Khrap

This is a modified version of the WordPress Twenty Twelve Theme. It is a responsive theme and should be working correctly for viewing on mobiles, iPads, and/or computers, I am hoping that you can view it properly on your devices.

Older posts were formatted for the old theme which had a fixed width front page and now with the responsive nature of the blog, many do not display correctly  -  sorry for that, but too many to go back and reformat.   They are still readable so I hope not a big burden.

I would appreciate any comments as to how the new theme is working for you.  That way I can make changes where necessary.   Thanks in advance – I really need the input.

Don’s new friend – and cutie at Mimosa

Sawadee Khrap

Here’s Don’s new friend. He rescued her from starving and running wild in Huai Yai park. She’s going to make a great companion – named Lucy – She has already won over the hearts of the Dongtan Beach Group. In addition to Don’s sugar gliders, his house is filling up – lot of mouths to feel. – good luck Don.

And the last photo is “Ton” – one of the dancers at the Mimosa Show.  I believe I am going back with Mark, and Mike,  next week to get some shots of the entire complex during daylight and then stay to shoot a couple of the evening shows and try out dinner.  This place was a real surprise and amazing that it offers a whole night of entertainment and eating for just a 50 Baht entrance fee.           Before you leave  – don’t miss this one.

Mannequin– But still sexy pose

Sawadee Khrap

Meet “George”    (  That’s what I’d call him  )   – ran across this guy on a IMG_0902-Editrecent trip to Chonburi.  Just past Si Racha on Hwy.3  is this small, mannequin shop on the side of the road and there was George.  I was told 4000 Baht but I think I could get him for 3,500 – next week I’ll go back and see if he is still there and if they will sell him for 3500.  I can use him for the guys to pose with – movable arms and legs would allow for several poses – I also think I can get some legs that will sit down – cover all bases. – they did have the whole family but George kind’a stood out from the pack.IMG_0905IMG_0907

Mimosa–Pattaya

Sawadee Khrap

Looking for a new attraction, Mimosa, this one was new for me and I will definitely IMG_0766go back – 50 Baht entrance fee with free 1 hour show at 5, 6:30, 7:45 and 9 PM.  WHAT A VALUE.  EXCELLENT, clean, large, great staff and a WONDERFUL show – and did I say “all boys”.   I IMG_0742only saw the last half of the 6:30 show and was I was very, very impressed.  I am planning on a return trip to photograph (maybe next Monday) the buildings during the day and to catch the 5 and IMG_0814IMG_08307:45 shows – I was told that they were different – I’ll make a slideshow for later posting.

Earlier shots from Khao Kheow Open Zoo

Sawadee Khrap

Raining,  so I thought I’d finish some of the animal shots taken at Khao Kheow Open Zoo and posted about Sept 9th this year._MG_9153-Edit_MG_9241_MG_9001-Edit_MG_9270

This Zoo is a wonderful place to visit and shoot – These are a few of my favorites.

If you do any photography – get Lightroom and Photoshop Creative Cloud, it’s amazing how simple it is to enhance your photographs.  In combination, these programs give you complete creative freedom to bring out the best of your art or snapshots.

Going to the Nong Nooch Gardens again next week and really looking forward to capturing some new and colorful scenes.

Vegetable Festival–self mutilation

Sawadee Khrap

Although very common in Phuket during the Thai Vegetable Festival, Yesterday, I _MG_9570finally witnessed the Chinese Taoist practice of self-mutilation right here in Pattaya.  This group was going from business to business – with strings of firecrackers before them, scaring off the evil spirits, sprinkling holy water and prayers._MG_9660_MG_9576  The official start of the Festival in Pattaya will begins today on Oct 12th –14th.  I am not sure I will be able to get some shots as the traffic will be madding – and I really hate crowds.  Here’s a
