This a first attempt at adding an Impasto look to a Digital Acrylic Oil Painting. Do you think it adds or subtracts.

As for me, I’m not really into all this. Know you’re really into the painting, etc. I just dig the scenes as presented & feel I get much more of what the photographer was seeing. This, not a criticism merely an observation. These paintings are great & you’re showing more of your artistic ability. Me, I still love the clarity, composition, lighting & all else that makes you a world class photographer.
Thanks so much Jim, Love the acknowledgement but I have to admit that I consider photography a second calling, used only to obtain the elements of a image. I don’t concentrate on the photograph, except trying to get high definition so I can extract the elements with detail, almost all of the work is done in Photoshop to create the final image, and that includes the lighting, compositio9n and so on. I don’t try to accomplish that in the camera. All of my paintings and images, except the slideshows, are created in Photoshop. Thanks.
