Birthday time – 72

Sawadee Khrap

Well I just made 72, planning on another grand slam Boy-Bar party when I reach 80, so hang in there – I’ll try.  The Last one at 70 at Adam’s Apple Chiang Mai was a great success.

I was going through my images this morning (raining out side – can’t go to beach) and came across these two I took in old Chiang Mai – thought you might like seeing them too.

Sometimes it’s difficult to tell whether you’re looking at a boy or girl without a specific manual test – here’s a perfect example _MG_6944-Edit– I thought this was rather sexy and actually could hang on anyone’s wall, but if you look closely you can see what I am talking about – but there is a dead give-a-way – spot it.

And for the leather fans – here’s one I liked but never posted_MG_3017-2 before.  Needless to say this photo session was a lot of fun too.

Reminiscing, I guess that’s what birthdays are for.

Well not raining now – off to the beach.

Priapus of Milet – Photoshop work

Sawadee Khrap

Thanks Larry for this link to some very erotic, adventurous, sensual Photoshop work and be prepared to see some very explicit images.

CaptureHe chooses images available across the web to construct colleges, using Photoshop to it’s full potential.  Gives me a lot of ideas for future possibilities for my models – although I’m sure that they won’t want to show that much detail – you know what I mean.

More information is available at Mitchmen – the blog     Enjoy!

Thailand’s Got Talent 2012

Sawadee Khrap

Thanks Kevin for sending me the links to several “Thailand’s Got Talent” auditions.  I really liked these:

Capture I bet you didn’t expect this one, usually I don’t put the girls in but this is an exception !   Don’t you agree?

Or this guy :  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5xYPrIhhiY&feature=related

and his final:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=jp6A9lpsORs  or this singer:

http://youtu.be/xhBYnBY4nwI or

many others listed in YouTube.   I don’t have the finals of 2012

ThailandsGotTalent   I am always amazed by the talent here in Thailand and most are self taught, coming from small villages throughout Thailand.  I wish they had English sub-titles , but talent is talent and quality is apparent in any language.  As for beauty, I hope my photos are doing justice to the many gorgeous young men just here in Pattaya.

Rule for life

Sawadee Khrap

One day I had lunch with some friends. Jim , a short, balding golfer type about 80 years old, came along with them—all in all, a pleasant bunch.

When the menus were presented, we ordered salads, sandwiches, and soups, except for Jim who said, "Ice Cream, please. Two scoops, chocolate.  I wasn’t sure my ears heard right, and the others were aghast. "Along with heated apple pie," Jim added,  completely unabashed.

We tried to act quite nonchalant, as if people did this all the time.. But when our orders were brought out, I didn’t enjoy mine.  I couldn’t take my eyes off Jim as his pie a-la-mode went down. The other guys couldn’t believe it. They ate their lunches silently and grinned.

The next time I went out to eat, I called and invited Jim . I lunched on white meat tuna. He ordered a parfait.  I smiled. He asked if he amused me.  I answered, "Yes, you do, but also you confuse me.

How come you order rich desserts, while I feel I must be sensible?  He laughed and said "I’m tasting all that is Possible.  I try to eat the food I need, and do the things I should. But life’s so short, my friend, I hate missing out on something good.  This year I realized how old I was. (He grinned)  I haven’t been this old  before."

"So, before I die, I’ve got to try those things that for years I had ignored. I haven’t smelled all the flowers yet. There are too many trout streams I haven’t fished. There’s more fudge sundaes to wolf down and kites to be flown overhead.  There are too many golf courses I haven’t played. I’ve not laughed at all the jokes. I’ve missed a lot of sporting events and potato chips and cokes. I want to wade again in water and feel ocean spray on my face. I want to sit in a country church once more and thank God for His  grace.  I want peanut butter every day spread on my morning toast. I want un-timed long distance calls to the folks I love the most. I haven’t cried at all the movies yet, or walked in the morning rain. I need to feel wind on my face. I want to be in love again.  So, if I choose to have dessert, instead of having dinner, then should I die before night fall, I’d say I died a winner, because I missed out on nothing. I filled my heart’s desire. I had that final chocolate mousse before my life expired."

With that, I called the waitress over.. "I’ve changed my mind, " I said. "I want what he is having, only add some more whipped cream!"   This is my gift to you – We need an annual Friends Day!   Live well, love much & laugh often – Be happy.

Thanks Jim (Chiang Mai) for this great story and excellent advice

World Junior Wrestling Championships

Sawadee Khrap

20120907_164326_0035__MG_5284Pattaya is hosting the “World Junior Wrestling Championships 2012” this week and I and friends went to see the action yesterday and today.  We were told that over 52 countries are represented by more than 600 athletes.  Running from Sept 4th to 9th at the Jontiem Indoor Stadium and then to awards at the Ambassador Hotel City Hotel.  First the girls (4th to 6th) and now the boys (8 – 9).

It was one match right after the other and the stage had 4 mat areas going at the same time -  2 categories (Greco-Roman and free style) ages 17-20 and each having their weight classes –  each class had only one day for completion – it was win or bust – can you imagine the stress to win on these athletes.  Many left the mat crying at their defeat.  I really feel sorry for the ones who lost – 3, 2 minute matches could mean success or failure for years of training.   Sorry we went to see the boys so missed the girls events.

20120908_180948_0040__MG_5899-Edit I prepared a    *****  SLIDESHOW *****  with 285 images out of

(SLIDESHOW HAS LONG LOAD TIME – PLEASE PREPARE TO WAIT)

the over 1400 shots I took.  It was really difficult getting good shots as these guys were really fast and the lighting was not that good for telephoto shooting from the grandstands – thank God for the D7

The other point that was amazing is that there was no hassling or problems the whole time we were there and antagonists such as the  US, Israel, Iran, Russia, China were all there – great competitors.  Security was in the background and not in your face – entrance was free – attendance mild.  I was amazed the there was little or NO fanfare for the winners or consoling for the losers.- maybe that’s for 10th and 11th – but seemed cold to me.  They worked so hard.

I just took photos today and we did not wait to see all the awards given – I also didn’t sort or label them – too much going on , I just keep shooting – sorry.

Frame I liked–especially the lines

Sawadee Khrap

Here’s an adaptation of a design I saw on the web – They had a lot of pencil sketches of girls, so naturally I abandoned them and changed the drawings to better suit this composition. I think the main aspect I liked was the lines they framed the image with – then to round it off I thought this image of Ink would fit in perfectly.   What do you think?

Just testing Blog Security backup

Sawadee Khrap

Need to make sure my file permissions for the blog are set correctly so I can still u/l using LiveWriter – so here are some beach shots:_MG_3725     I  thought this is a great colorful shot of what we see on DongTan Beach.  and the “Bondi” – meeting hole and bar.

_MG_3724And of course some of the boys came to join us where we sit on the beach– Jerry is on the left, Degs and Aod, Ink and their friends.

_MG_3749_MG_3736

Can’t miss Aod’s smile.   Not sure of the friends names and naturally I’m not in the photo being the photographer.

Now if you see this my LiveWriter post program is working correctly.

Large image copies available ???

Sawadee Khrap

Several have asked if they can get larger size images suitable for printing.  All of the models have approved the posting of small JPG images, however larger versions (files or printed) could be made available upon request.  I am sure many of the boys would consider releasing 8×12 or larger versions on a case by case basis.  Poster size prints could also be made.

Many of the models are hard to contact and I don’t have all of their emails, but sending me a private note using  “Contact US”  from the blog, and you explain what you are looking for, I can contact them and seek their approval and what, if any, charge they would consider.  I am sure they would be flattered.

I also let them know any and all comments you make and will give them your email address if you would like to contact them directly.

Sooooo   Let me know in a comment and I’ll pass it on.

I have been toying with the idea of putting a password-protected area around many of the images I post, making them available only to those who post comments – but the last post of Tom’s photos drew 5 comments so I will not burden you guys with this inconvenience – but please try to post comments so I know someone cares and wants to see more of the great local Pattaya young men.  That’s my inspiration – beyond the boys that is.

Didn’t get many comments asking for more posting of photos – maybe no one is watching – maybe I need to post a private link so only the ones who comment can see all the photo taken and approved by Tom from this shoot and others to come – any ideas?

Dinner with friends

Sawadee Khrap

Just had a great dinner at “Thai Kitchen-Jontiem” with a couple of friends – Chris, visiting this 20120818_185126last couple of weeks from Europe, and Khun Wut who works at X-Men Bar here in Jontiem.

And we were discussing the cost of going out  (the dinner, the movie, the drinks,  etc,) but here that cost is just a pittance from what we would have to spend if back in our home countries.  On a retirement income it”s possible to do so here and not break the bank.

And if your like me, elderly, or should I say older (much older) it would be almost impossible to have anyone younger than 50 consider going out for dinner or an evening.  I don’t really relate to the geriatric crowd ( yesterday I couldn’t spell it – today I are one ), but prefer to be with a younger group.  I also like to think I still have something to offer and enjoy helping or sharing my experiences in business and life with those who possibility could use some help.  It all here in Thailand.  Young or older are invited and sit at the same table – all ages are respected – but of course the oldest gets the check – but here, that’s acceptable too.  Going out on a date is possible and affordable – what more could you ask for.

Chris is now on the plane, going home – hope you had a great time here and look forward to seeing you next time you come to visit.

Lets walk down and get them all

Sawadee Khrap

Experience has it’s rewards:

A new young rooster arrived at the chicken coop and struts over to the old rooster and says, ‘OK old fart, time for you to retire.’  The old rooster replies, ‘Come on, surely you cannot handle ALL of these chickens.  Look what it has done to me!  Can’t you just let me have the two old hens over in the corner?’  The young rooster says, ‘Beat it: You are washed up and I am taking over.’

The old rooster says, ‘I tell you what, young stud.  I will race you around the farmhouse.  Whoever wins gets the exclusive domain over the entire chicken coop.’  The young rooster laughs.  ‘You know you don’t stand a chance, old man.   So, just to be fair, I will give you a head start.’   The old rooster takes off running.  About 5 seconds later the young rooster takes off running after him.  They round the front porch of the farmhouse and the young rooster has closed the gap.  He is only about 5 feet behind the old rooster and gaining fast.

The farmer, meanwhile, is sitting in his usual spot on the front porch when he sees the roosters running by.  The Old Rooster is squawking and running as hard as he can.  The Farmer grabs his shotgun and – BOOM – he blows the young rooster to bits.

The farmer sadly shakes his head and says,  ‘Dangit ..…..third gay rooster I bought this month.’

Ahhhh the Dentist again

Sawadee Khrap

A man went to the dental surgeon to have a tooth pulled.
The dentist pulls out a freezing needle to give to the man. "No way!, no needles!, I hate needles!", the patient said.

The dentist starts to hook up the laughing gas and the man again objects. "I can’t do the gas thing – the thought of having the gas mask on is suffocating to me".

The dentist then asks if the man has an objection to taking the pill. "No", the patient says, "I am fine with pills". The dentist returns and says, "Here is a Viagra tablet".
The patient says, "Wow, I didn’t know that Viagra worked as a pain pill!".

It doesn’t said the dentist, "It will give you something to hold on to when I pull out your tooth".

Thanks Paul.

We need underground wiring

Sawadee Khrap

Want to be a “LineMan” here in Jontiem ?   20120810_161448-I don’t envy their profession here.  These guys were installing new optic lines for TrueVision down ThrapPhaya Rd in Jontiem,

20120810_15474220120810_155335

I was having a early dinner at “Thai Kitchen” just across the street and just had to get some shots using my cell phone.   20120810_161459

It was about  4PM and 31C / 87F  this day  – not really hot by Thai standards, but not conditions I would want to work in – Even through I had a fan on me, I was still sweating just setting there having dinner.

They were pulling for an entire city block – a lot of cable. When they were finished pulling, they then coiled it into a pile so they could continue the next day. My hats off to you boys – now that’s working.  Can you imagine this wiring mess in San Francisco, or these working conditions – Oh ya, not sure but I think laborers make about 300 Baht a day = $10 US
