Yesterday I watched a YouTube video on Jewish Aramaic version of “The Lord’s Prayer†and this is what came to mind in my meditation for today. What caught my attention was the fact that Jesus only asked in an “inclusive†or “One†perspective (see red emphasis below)
“Our Father,
Who is in Heaven, Sanctify your Name.
May Your Kingdom come, may Your Will be done.
Just as it is in Heaven, so also upon the earth.
Our bread, which is from the earth, give us day by day.
And forgive us our sins, just as we should forgive our debtors.
And do not bring us to trial, rather deliver us from the accuser.”
Jesus did not tell us to ask, or pray, specifically for ourselves , but for the â€ALLâ€, which emphases plurality of the Son or “Christâ€. Throughout his ministry, he repeatedly stated that he was ‘ONE’ with God and we are ‘ONE’ with him – WE are still as God created US. This is true ‘REALITY’, but in the above teaching, he was speaking in the language of that day and to those who believe the ‘lie’ of the “accuser†, that we are in separate bodies living on the earth. It addresses both “Creation†by Elohim and “making†by Yahweh, Spirit and bodies respectively. The statement “Just as it is in Heaven, so also upon the earth.†brings truth to the illusion. “Forgive them Father, they know not what they doâ€, asks please deliver US from the liar of separation, the lie of the accuser.
“A dream of judgment came into the mind that God created perfect as Himself. And in that dream was Heaven changed to hell, and God made enemy unto His Son. How can God’s Son awaken from the dream? It is a dream of judgment. So must he judge not, and he will waken. For the dream will seem to last while he is part of it. Judge not, for he who judges will have need of idols, which will hold the judgment off from resting on himself. Nor can he know the Self he has condemned. Judge not, because you make yourself a part of evil dreams, where idols are your “true” identity, and your salvation” (ACIM C29 – IX. The Forgiving Dream)
“Where sin once was perceived will rise a world that will become an altar to the truth, and you will join the lights of Heaven there, and sing their song of gratitude and praise. And as they come to you to be complete, so will you go with them. For no one hears the song of Heaven and remains without a voice that adds its power to the song, and makes it sweeter still. And each one joins the singing at the altar that was raised within the tiny spot that sin proclaimed to be its own. And what was tiny then has soared into a magnitude of song in which the universe has joined with but a single voice.” (ACIM C26– IV. Where Sin Has Left)
“What fear has hidden, still is part of you. Joining the Atonement is the way out of fear. The Holy Spirit will help you reinterpret everything that you perceive as fearful, and teach you that only what is loving is true. Truth is beyond your ability to destroy, but entirely within your ability to accept. It belongs to you because, as an extension of God, you created it with Him. It is yours because it is part of you, just as you are part of God because He created you.” (ACIM C5-IV. Teaching and Healing)
I need always remember that, AA, A Course In Miracles, the teachings of Buddha, and Jesus’s Gospel or Good News, as well as other guides, were there when I was ready and could accept them, not by my planning or design. I did not determine salvation’s path or guides, but it was designed by God Himself. They were there for me, when I was ready to accept the truth, and all I can or should do now is WAIT – Look, Listen, And Do Not Judge – but leave all judgments up to the ‘ONE’ appointed for my awaking and salvation – God’s Holy Spirit. .
Nevertheless, forgiving and seeking forgiveness, as stated in the above prayer, would be the best starting point for reducing the suffering in the world, that I am responsible for, and would be a great giant leap forward.
