Today’s ACIM lesson # 216 is a review of # 196, It can be but myself I crucify.
Here is the simplest and yet the hardest lesson to understand and practice. First : what does this world try to prove to me and do I really believe it as my reality ? —
- That I exist alone in a unique body.
- what I feel, I feel alone.
- what I think, I think alone.
- what I see, I see alone.
- That I live and suffer and die alone.
This world only represents Specialism and Separation or fulfilling it’s function, the EGO, Edging God Out. In a world like this, ATTACK and DEFENCE are possible, actually needed to protect the desired state. Sacrifice, crucifixion and death are its hallmarks. It has NO IDEA of ONENESS, nor what it entails.
BUT If I am correct, within the ONENESS of God there is only ONE Christ , the Son of God, a SPIRIT in the image and likeness of God. However, He is DREAMING He is broken into separate pieces and living in bodies in a ‘material world’ with complete uniqueness in which “I” , the DREAMER see myself as ‘Frank’.
The ancient Hindu thought this as they told the story of the game that Brahma and Maya played. Jesus said as much when he said “My Kingdom is not of this world”, and “I and the Father are One”
THEREFORE, If I am the Dreamer, playing each part of the characters in the dream, then it – IS ONLY I – that can attack and be attacked. All the Characters in the dream are illusions and that includes myself as “Frank”. Jesus said “Do not judge, least you be judged.” and “I give you the keys of Heaven that what you bind on earth will be bound in Heaven and what you loose on earth will be lose in Heaven.” And more sternly, “But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, [empty headed] shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.”
