A Texas rancher got in his pickup and drove to a neighboring ranch and knocked at the door.  A young boy, about 9, opened the door. "Is yer Dad home?" the rancher asked.
"No sir, he ain’t," the boy replied. "He went into town." "Well", said the rancher, "is yer Mom here?" "No, sir, she ain’t here neither. She went into town with Dad." "How about your brother, Howard? Is he here?" "He went with Mom and Dad." The rancher stood there for a few minutes, shifting from one foot to the other and mumbling to himself. "Is there anything I can do fer ya?" the boy asked politely. "I knows where all the tools are, if you want to borry one. Or maybe I could take a message fer Dad." "Well," said the rancher uncomfortably, "I really wanted to talk to yer Dad.  It’s about your brother Howard getting my daughter, Pearly Mae, pregnant."

The boy considered for a moment. "You would have to talk to Pa about that", he finally conceded. "If it helps you any, I know that Pa charges $50 for the bull and $25 for the hog, but, I really don’t know how much he gets fer Howard."

Just got back from my yearly checkup, went to Sriphat Medical Center, located in the 13th floor, Emergency Building of  Suan Dok Hospital.  American doctor Gregory Greer, nice to be able to talk English and have everything understood, and Dr. Gregory is great. 

Full checkup, Chest X-ray, EKG, Blood, Urine and general physical exam including HIV and Hep B booster – 5,000 Baht   at today’s exchange  $147.  Clean bill of health – naturally, more exercise needed, but excellent.

Service is great and fast and efficient – 13th floor for English speaking – check it out.

Well I think I have actually becoming more Thai now – This morning it was 80*F  (26 C) in the house and I thought it was cool.  Haven’t gotten used to metrics yet so I still use Fahrenheit.  I expect it to reach about 96-7 today outside in the shade.

I have had to start drinking a flavored electrolyte solution about every other day to compensate for the sweating, although I am not as bad as when I arrived.  It’s amazing how much better I feel after having the drink – didn’t realize how much water and salt loss there is on a daily basis in this weather.  I don’t have the constant sweating like before – but apparently it is still going on to cool me down but not as noticeable. If I start getting really tired during the day then I make sure I have been drinking enough water and solution.

Not sure who the teams are but my friend sent me these photos to prove a point – “Always wear BLACK bicycle shorts”.

I find the same thing in the studio, so I never have the boys wear black or even dark clothing – especially shorts (if they have any on, that is.)

Although it does give you something else to look for when choosing your favorite teams.

Just got the computer working again – bad motherboard, replaced – some bad memory, replaced – bad CD writer, replaced.  Took a week to get it all done and 2 days more to reload the software.

I now have 64bit Windows 7 Home Premium – and I am really liking it – this blog entry was made using “Live Writer” – really nice.  and I now have Messenger install too – Skype works better and I really see a difference in the monitors (ATI Radeon 4550) – Lightroom and Photoshop are showing and working much better.  So far – So Good

Inserting maps, photos, videos, seems to be much easier with “Writer” than with “Blogjet” that I was using earlier – Writer actually shows me a preview of what it will look like in my blog – very nice.

I am going to see what Live Photo Gallery will look like and maybe start uploading to it. – Just a snippet and one or two images for each post and the rest in the Gallery – we’ll see.

Well this is just a test and enough for today.

The Hotel and Powerboys were open last night and the show went on – but the future is not sure.  We’ll just have to wait and see.

 I just loved this place  “The Red Rose Hotel”   – It’s no longer a special short time hotel as it was in the past – family style now – only one style of rooms – but still there in Chiang Rai .

They used to offer fantasy rooms – here is a link and some old pictures – it was really a fun place to take a “friend”    for an evening.

And each room had a the perfect compliment to a great evening –
