Lets paint !!!

Sawadee Khrap

Hurray for the local Naturist club.  I wish I could make the  party and meeting in Bangkok for their “Body  painting” and dinner Party.     Looks like it would be great fun,  not to mention “artistic”, especially judging from the example they showed:

Nanee’s and The Erotic Garden

Sawadee Khrap

On March 3rd, Simon and I took a quick trip to Mae Rim and visited  2 locations.

At both places we met the owner and artist who developed the attraction.  They are located right next to each other in beautiful Mae Rim valley area.  What a day to relax and meet two wonderful people , each with inspiring stories. – Great places to visit and NOT the usual tourist traps, but unique sites of Unseen Thailand.  Seeing is believing, so I really recommend that you visit them yourself on your next trip here..

Buddhist Hell – Mae Jo

SawadeeKhrap

Simon and I went to explore the Mae Jo local temple – Buddhist Hell –  20180513_153201at  Wat Mae Kaet Noi – also called – Wat Si Don Chia Pa Tung Ngam.

It’s like a Disneyland area – turnstile entrance (10 Baht ea.) , divided in 2 section areas – Heaven and Hell.       Amazing – The first thing that stands out is the deplorable attitude about sex – same as in the Christian and Islamic religions.  Statues  with emphasized penises, vaginas,  disfigured and/or being mutated –  Here are some glaring examples – the rest are in the Slideshow.20180513_15024220180513_15054320180513_150325

20180513_15061020180513_150845

Make sure to visit the display – very eye opening and shows the blend of Buddhism, Hindu, Chinese Gods, and Animism.  Sex always seems to be the point of attack around the world – actually there are only 3 functions in life, Eating, Sleeping and Sex.  And the first two are only done so one can do the last – SEX   Think about it and make sure to visit the Temple.

Speaking of young men

Sawadee Khrap

Just thought I’d point out “Chaturbate” in case some of the readers haven’t been there yet – chatburateapparently from the latest comments on Chris’s shoot they are only looking for younger men and Chaturbate definitely has them.  This is my favorite – what’s yours?   Let me know and I’ll post it for others to see too.

Drum and Dancing Band

Sawadee Khrap

IMG_3122I was having tea at Kad Suan Kaew Shopping Center this Sunday afternoon and on the main floor below me they were having a car show.  They had a 6 guy drum and dancing band, wearing terrific tail-coat outfits – all very handsome young men.  By the time I got down there they had finished their act so I didn’t get any photos.   But they said that they would preform again later in the evening – so I went home and got the 7D.

What I thought would be 4 PM show turned out to be a 6:30 show but I did get some shots – They had taken off the great outfits and were just in varsity jackets – but the drumming and dancing was excellent – In the above photo you can see someone taking a video – they were preforming in such a cramped space I had trouble getting any shots that had all 6 of them in view at the same time.  Wish they would have been on a stage where they could have shown all their fancy foot working stuff – but never the less they were super.

I did meet one of the guys, Jame, and I gave him my card so I hope they check out the blog and send me an email  – I didn’t get the name of the band but I would love to be invited to shoot their next appearance.  Lets hope they contact me and I’ll get some great shots if I can.

Success, yet hardship – a Lisu story

Sawadee Khrap

Several years ago in Chiang Mai I met and employed as my house cleaner  “Ton”.  Actually his name is Asue Saeyang, he is Lisu, from Burma.   During the time he spent with me, he showed an interest in movie making and I sold him my Panasonic and stated teaching him about Sony Vegas and making videos.

After working for me for a couple of months, he met Ana (from UK)and they had a child,  “Lillie”.  They lived in Chiang Mai while he tried to get his Burmese papers in order to get his passport so they could get married.  That was in 2010.  Now in 2013 – Ana has gone to UK with Lillie and Asue will return to Burma again to try and get the passport settled and then rejoin his family in the UK.

I hope you’ll join your prayers with mine that they will get this mess settled and have their family together soon.

But to the success story – Asue is self taught, with a little help from CaptureAna and myself, he has mastered the art of movie making –

production, filming,  editing and publication. and has now published a full length 80 min.  movie.

Amazing !

Although it is narrated in the Lisu language and has no subtitles it will still hit a nerve no matter what nationality you are, the Lisu story of the prodigal son.  Check it out

M.M., Nn NI – A Mother’s Love, Lisu Movie with Lisu Songs

Congratulations Asue and continued success in your movie career –

Songkran on again – “Strange Snow”

Sawadee Khrap

Well, seems like everything is back in order for a while – Songkran has been extended till Friday to make up for the loss due to the riots.  I will go down tomorrow to the Central Shopping Center to get some shots of the fun “sanuk” being had by all.

I don’t want to get into Thai politics and want to make sure this blog is concerning living, enjoying and helping farangs living in or planning to come to Thailand  – not a soap box for any group, even a gay cause.  But if it turns sour for the local gay community I will post about it when I move out, till then I will keep you posted on gay and other happenings in the Chiang Mai area – Check out BBC and CNN for the latest news.

Strange_snow0741Strange_snowlow0732Nu is preparing a DVD of The Gate Theater Group – “Strange Snow” by Stephen Metcalfe, Directed by Stephan Turner.  He taped it last Friday night and is now editing the DVD, maybe a short clip if we can set it up for the Blog.  The plot:

“Strange snow falls on two young Vietnam veterans as they reunite for a fishing trip to make good on a long lost promise to an old friend. It’s dawn on Opening Day and Megs shows up at his buddy David’s house only to encounter David’s shy, plain sister Martha. Megs’ larger-than-life nature coaxes Martha out of her shell and into his heart. His mere presence, however, brings up painful memories of Vietnam for David, whose method of coping so far has been to drink too much and talk as little as possible.”

I’ll keep you up to date.
