But here is a short clip out my window of the mayhem.   It will go on for the rest of the day.  Chuay stopped by and went to Jomtien Complex to throw water at his bar and celebrate with them – coming back later and then we will go to dinner. HAPPY SONGKRAN.

Here’ a new format, combined line drawing, painting and photo – This is Nai, check out a earlier post of a trip we took to Sattahip  – I really like this effect, interesting – what do you think?  I am going to refine this technique and make the brush strokes more pronounced and paint smear colors match shades in the photo more closely. I also need to increase the paper texture in the face area. But I think it’s a good start  – your comments ????

Pond looks great with his green hair and today Kay stopped by to show off his new red hairdo – FASHION – it’s the craze here.

Here’s the latest shot of Pond – Much better than the first ones – I am getting better – slowly but steady – it’s hard to teach a old dog new tricks and I jump too fast to post images before I really put a lot of effort into editing them.  These guys are soooooo cute, I love spending time with them and hope you enjoy these images too.

Pond stopped by this afternoon for a little photo shoot – agreed I could post this one and promised to come back later  – after Songkran – to take a little more time and get some super poses and exciting shots.

Well off to the beach to finish my day – water throwing is in full swing – but it should be minimal between here and Jomtien Complex, where I will meet up with Don, Degs and the other guys to spend a little time seeing what the boys are up to and how they intend to spend Songkran – expect a little water, so wallet and phone go into plastic bags for protection.

Thought I’d show you what my swimming pool looks like – and here is also a better view from my balcony – better clouds –

Getting ready for Songkran, I hear that it can get very intense out there – throwing water and general celebration – but Brian says this was his favorite time of year in Pattaya – the boys at Jomtien Complex would line up and offer kisses to the guys walking through – sounds sweet.  I am trying to sell my Canon 350D and would use that money to get a Canon G12 – great small camera and one I could carry to get more personal shots during Songkran.  I am afraid to take my D7 into the water-throwing crowd – too much to lose for some shots.  We’ll see.

Here are some shots of the new apt.   1 Br., 1 1/2 bath and 2 balconies. Complete with laundry washer.

Great lease at $480 mo. 

Condo also has a great common swimming pool and businesses located on the bottom floor such as bar, restaurants, cleaners, travel offices, copying, etc..   Right around the corner from a FoodMart and my Bank – short 5 min walk to Jomtien Beach.   Could you ask for more !

I have set up a small studio – just move the lights  – so I can do some photography and got a real great computer desk so I’m ready for the HOT season.

Sorry for a large delay in posting – moved into my new condo and just got everything set up – and did some work on the blog to clear up the hacking problem – still more work needed here !!!

Here is a shot from my balcony looking toward North Pattaya – The tower you see in the left of the photo is located at the end of Dongtan Beach at the end of Jomtien Beach Rd.  Great view, great balcony for having tea in the morning, quiet, and within walking distance from the beach.   Food Mart right around the corner, pharmacy and my bank – restaurants below on the ground floor, ample parking and large swimming pool available.

I have a great kitchen and brought my steamer, convection oven, crock pots and pots and pans – set for cooking and entertaining.  One bedroom, 1 1/2 bath and high speed internet – I’m set

Need a ride to Bangkok – try Pattaya Van  start from TukCom pickup site (across the street and up about 1 block) – to Victory Monument BTS station – 1 1/2 hr. ride  97 Baht  6Am to 8PM

While your in the TukCom area stop and get a great massage at Somjit – Tom is my favorite masseur.

Right around the corner is the Sunee Plaza area – and a great little restaurant called Little Mango – the owner is Ken and he offers great food, service and pricing – when you go to Sunee don’t miss it.  I don’t have a photo right now so I’ll also introduce a great site to follow on gay life in Pattaya and BKK   NICKY’s Gay Thailand

And I also want to introduce and recommend UK Salon in Jontiem Beach.  just up from the police station across from a country “cowboy” bar  – ask for Jin (manager) for a great haircut.

Last week we took a quick trip to the Silverlake and Sattahip areas south of Pattaya and on the way back stopped at a small fishing village at the end of Pattaya Beach.  Not sure of the name but here is a image of one of the fishing boats.  Or I should say ‘my version’.

 It’s a composite line drawing and photo – I am going to do another version in Coral Painter and make the painting strokes more apparent.  I also have a lot more images to process and will try to make a slideshow of them to post later too.

And here is a image I created for “Boy” so he can send it home for his family.

I have also found a condo to rent ( at least I hope so – final papers will be drawn up next week and I should be moved in before the end of the month).  It’s a 1 bedroom with kitchen – within walking distance from the beach and should be very quiet.

Really looking forward to getting settled in and having a good Internet connection and able to move in all my stuff and set up so I can again begin working on my photography – it’s not been easy so far from the small studio I am renting now.
