Jay’s dream has ended. The Lavender sign is now smaller than the Sritokyo – back to the old owners.

Looking to book a room  – try the Lotus Hotel – Garden Bar or maybe the Chiang Mai Residence, both are gay or gay-friendly and excellent.  CM Residence just across the street from the Lavender so you are still close to Kad Suan Kaew Shopping Center and of course the Lotus across from Adam’s Apple Club.

Just attended the Grand Opening of Club One Seven Chiang Mai and what a great setup.  Guesthouse and Spa-Gym.  wonderful for relaxing, meeting someone special, or just enjoying the special rooms and facilities.

Located on the banks of the Ping River, 1km from the city center, is one of Chiang Mai’s hidden secrets. This 130 year old, Thai Teak Wood Guesthouse, newly refurbished, is off the usual tourist track, and is ideally positioned as a refuge and a base from which to discover the riches of Northern Thailand.

“Bird”  of Bird’s Asian Tours  is the manager – and guess who is working on the front desk – Tasanai.   Haven’t seen him since we split up in 2007  – it was really a surprise to see him there.

Sad news – PowerBoys has closed and rumor is their looking for a new location to re-open as a smaller venue. – I’ll let you know as it happens

Lanna Lavender Hotel is going back to the original owners and not sure how this will play out – rumor has it that they intend to convert the old PowerBoys downstairs area and bar into a Disco – not sure what the Hotel will be called or cater.

The largest Gay Venue in Northern Thailand has closed, the fantasy has ended.

From what I can see  – Jay – fulfilled his fantasy and now it’s over.

Meanwhile, Adam’s Apple Club is expanding their offerings – Pizza and rumor later spaghetti.  But right now the Pizza has been excellent – fresh ingredients, thin crust and excellent taste. Served each evening and also local delivery  – nice

 Karaoke

—-  12:00 Am  – 6:00 AM  —–   after the featured boy show  the club is hosting a Karaoke evening.  With that sound system they have and the ability to add reverb and other sound effects to the microphone  – singers should finally sound pretty good – If you want to spend all night partying then this is the place to go.  Join the boys – of course it’s hosted.

The Hotel and Powerboys were open last night and the show went on – but the future is not sure.  We’ll just have to wait and see.

 I just loved this place  “The Red Rose Hotel”   – It’s no longer a special short time hotel as it was in the past – family style now – only one style of rooms – but still there in Chiang Rai .

They used to offer fantasy rooms – here is a link and some old pictures – it was really a fun place to take a “friend”    for an evening.

And each room had a the perfect compliment to a great evening –

Went to the Grand Opening of the new Lanna Lavendar Hotel on Oct 5^th – WOW – GREAT – Great Music, Food, and Boys, Boys, Boys —– Brian and Pong were there too and Brian got these photos – I didn’t take a camera – still not in the mood.  Enjoy.

 Wow – I just got these great pictures from our friend Max — He and several of his friends spent the weekend at this great place in Lampang.  On Kew Lom Lake – at the  Wang-Kaew Isle resort.   Approx. 160Km from Chiang Mai past Lampang but before you reach Phayao.

Looks like a very peaceful place to relax and enjoy the company of good friends – he says that they took a bamboo-boat from the resort for a 2 hr round-trip tour of the lake – caves, landscapes,  – then back to the resort’s natural gardens and comfortable rooms with WC/hot showers and a balcony overlooking the lake. Very reasonable – they paid about 1200 Baht ($40 US) person/night for lodging, food, drinks and tours — not bad.

P.S.  I just ran across a web-site for “big game” fishing and it shows the Kew Lom lake – Don’t know how they do for the fishing, or how big they are BUT judging from the photos of the boys in Max’s shots, there must be a lot to catch at the resort ().  New and I will have to check it out and let you know – fishing and the resort – ha ha .

Nu and I just stopped by the Soho Bar and Guest house this evening.  Caught these shots of Scott (present Owner) and “Ood – x owner” and then “Nong – bartender”.  It was about 9 PM so the crowd was just starting to arrive.  The place is usually jumping about 10:30 – but that was too late for us tonight so we left early. I can see why with bartenders this cute –

Here is “Simmy – the other sexy bartender on this evening” and some shots of the place.  I won’t put the names of any of the customers but as you can see even at this early time several great looking boys had already arrived.

Located on Huay Kaew Rd. just up from the Kad Suan Kaew Shopping Center and before you get to HillSide4 (our old condo) – it’s a great gathering spot for the rather large gay community in the area.

Take a tour using MapJack-Chiang Mai and you can walk up from the shopping center and stand in front of Soho – great program.

Next time I’ll stay later and cover the action and of course get more pictures of the guys.

We went to a great brunch and celebration for the 3^rd Year Anniversary of Chiang Mai Expats at the new venue “The Shangri La Hotel”  Excellent food and entertainment.

In an earlier post I talked about the music of Thitipol Kanteewong and today he brought his full group to play for us.  I didn’t take a camera so missed out on any good shots – but I did try a couple with my cell phone and got this shot from another guy who had his camera. 

But they also had a male dancer – WOW – great and I didn’t get a shot – sorry – next time.

Well we finally made it to “THE REAL CENTRE OF THE UNIVERSE”.  At least to the private swimming club and resort with that name.  We went to a BBQ featuring Tuskers Bar’s famous BBQ ribs and other great offerings. 

We didn’t swim but did watch the others and had a good time – another new place to visit when your hot and want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of Chiang Mai.  The resort is a new sponsor of the Expats Club and this was a get acquainted day, and Tusker’s provided the food.

Beautiful place to swim, cool down, relax and enjoy time with friends:

Two Dutchman and Thai boyfriends own the place and several of our friends have stayed there and recommend it. 

Room rates are very reasonable, food is excellent and within walking distance of the Night Bazaar and moat.

Well it was Opening Night at the Golden Ball Restaurant in Chiang Mai.  I posted the business card before and here are the images from this afternoon/evening.

Bon was busy setting up for the first customers so I really didn’t bother them – more pictures will follow when the full staff is there and the place is running smoothly. But here are the first shots:

 Here is Bon – a little nervous and really excited about getting started.  Here’s his menu – in Thai of course – I’ll get the English version soon.

Full training of the staff wasn’t possible – the final paperwork for the purchase was delayed and so this was a hurried opening  – but as they say the show must go on.

I feel like I’m coming down with a cold and I have to do another shoot at the Temple tomorrow morning at 6 AM – soooooo I’m gona take my Thera-Flu and go to bed.  It’s 9 PM now – hope I can sleep.

Tao Garden 

Just got back yesterday from the “Tao Garden Wellness Retreat” in Doi Saket.  Nei, the Tao expert in “Karsai Nei Tsang” massage (genital area), gave me a marvelous relaxing and therapeutic massage.  We took some great pictures of the retreat but Tasanai has them in his camera and he’s still in Nan – when he gets back I will process them and post again.

As far as the recruiting is going  – Tasanai is searching for models for our new web page celebrating the beauty of the Asian Male Body.  We are setting up the site to show and sell artistic, erotic photos of Thai men (boys as they call them here) prints, posters and image CD’s.  Look for our new site called  gThaiStudio .  As soon as we collect about 7 – 8 models and have a gallery of images we will update the site and go on line.

I’m still looking to get the Postcards function set up for our gallery – but so far no such luck – seems like there is always something that will not work – damn – it’s frustrating.  The only way to find software that will really fit your needs is to write it yourself – but now that’s out of the question – so I just keep testing and sooner or later will find the right one.
