Doi Mae Salong and back trip

Sawadee Khrap

Just got back from a weekend trip to Doi Mae Salong – Thaton – Fang DSC04189-Pano-Edittrip with Simon. First leg of trip, we went to the temple high on the hill above Mae Salong.  Great view.  Then we stopped by the old Chinese Army camp – actually we were told it was a special place for amputees- all the families living there are from injured soldiers.DSC04175-PanoDSC04207DSC04214

Some great shots here, then on to Thaton and Doi Angkhang.  On the DSC04244DSC04231way stopped to watch some women loading potatoes in a truck and then 20180225_081226found a place to stay overnight at Mae Ai –  The next morning, headed to the mountain park, we stopped by a noodle stand Xishuangbanna operated by Chin and his brother, after a quick Chinese breakfast we headed  to the Royal Project at Doi Angkhang – wonderful flowers and a place to DSC04273-PanoDSC04286DSC04289visit – here they have a marvelous camping ground setup with a view of the surrounding area.   It was the first chance that Simon and I had to take a photo exploring trip together and what a success – already planning on going back to spend more time at specific spots to capture the true beauty and splendor of the northern Chiang Rai-Fang area.  Next time I’ll produce some slideshows of the photos taken

Ciao
