Fang Lagoon Homestay for Men — Update

Sawadee Khrap

Recently I have gotten a lot of requests and inquires as to the status of “Fang lagoon Homestay for Men” that I featured posted several years ago.  So I tried to contact them to find out.

I just got off the phone with “May” , owner of Fang lagoon Homestay, he told me that he has been completely remodeling the farm  – going to a fully organic farm ( plants, herbs, spices and so on) and will hopefully re-open with a brand new facility next year.   He is waiting until the new plants and trees have grown up a bit before he constructs a new lodge ( huts)  for visitors.  He said he will keep in contact with the blog and I will post any new information about the new-opening as soon as he releases it.   You can also do a search for “Fang” or “Homestay” on this blog for earlier posts.

If you would like to personally stay in contact with May – send me a comment on this post with your email address and I will forward it to him.

Update from May Dated 4/25/15 Thank you very much for interesting in Fang Lagoon Homestay and Organic Farm,
Hope we can re-open again before Christmas 2015..
All detail about us will inform you again..

Sawadee Pee Mai – Happy New Year Thailand

Sawadee Khrap

This is SONGKRAN – Thai New Year and we are in celebration.  Water throwing is happening on Thrappraya Rd. and a lot more at Pattaya and Jomtien Beaches.   The kids are in full swing now – out in front with their water buckets – now that’s a lot of fun – it’s the drunk adults that used to piss me off – but the new Gov’t passed laws outlawing trucks with 55 Gal drums of water running on the roads and High-pressure water guns – severe fines for these.  That should stop a lot of the accidents and keep everything to just fun.  But I’m just going to stay home and DRY.  haha

Charlie came to visit over for the weekend and left this afternoon to go back to Bangkok – so being alone again I had a New Year Massage – Great.

SAWADEE PEE MAI   everyone.

Charlie - OhOh_With this expression I just had to create this image – see the original one taken at the Chinese Museum a few posts back – Charlie is coming over for Songkran and I’m hoping we will be able to go to the “Pattaya Love Art Park” about dusk and get images both daylight and evening with lights – looking forward to getting some great images there.

You think Thai drivers are bad

Sawadee Khrap

Thanks Jerry for this YouTube enlightening video report on why you are required to have a dashboard DashCam Russiacameras to get insurance in Russia – trying to tell what actually happened here would be very difficult.  I should get one for my car just in case – planning on that long trip to Chiang Mai and this would be good insurance.

A little Cinnamon will do ya

Sawadee Khrap

Mark Hand was telling me about the benefits he has gotten from a small amount of cinnamon with his oatmeal every morning – so I tried it too – great success – it lowered my BP by about 10 points in about a week.  I have been adding one shake of  Durkee – Ground Cinnamon to my cup of oatmeal every morning – about 1-2 grams along with 1 Tablespoon of Honey.

There are 2 major types of cinnamon – Ceylon which is grown in Sri Lanka and Cassia or Chinese from Indonesia.  Cassia has extremely high concentrations of Coumadin, a blood thinning compound, and is the major commercial product such as is in Durkee’s , while the Ceylon variety has very little Coumadin.   This would make a big difference and be much safer, particularly since I am also taking Fish Oil ( Omega oils) to reduce Cholesterol levels, but fish oil is also a major blood thinning agent.   So I have ordered 250 grams from Ceylon Cinnamon – should be here in about a week – in the mean time I will continue using Durkee’s.  I am hoping I find a major difference in aroma and taste – first impressions – then see what benefits taking the Ceylon every day will give.

I’ll post the results after about a month after making sure the effects are genuine and lasting.  The best thing that could happen is that I could eventually reduce my Olemsartan dosage and lessen of any of its side effects.  Slowly I am getting rid of all the commercial drugs and using natural food stuffs to control my health – honey, cinnamon, fish oil, raw vegetables, CoCo -chocolate, exercise.

planning on moving–Don’t use DHL

Sawadee Khrap

WOW- just left DHL on 2nd street in Pattaya – I was passing by so I stopped to see about buying some cardboard boxes so I could start packing and get ready to move to Chiang Mai.  I asked the girl on duty at their office what sizes they had and was asked if I intended to use DHL for the move – I answered “Yes” and was told that each box would require a 200 Baht deposit and that would be refunded to me at the time of the move.  WHAT  ????????   FUCK UM  – I didn’t even ask for their pricing.

Jerry mentioned that the best service he found was definitely the Thai Post Office.  They have boxes and relatively low cost for shipping within Thailand – in fact he said that one time he actually knew of a motorcycle sent by snail mail.  I stopped by this morning but there was a long line so I’ll get my boxes tomorrow.

So I had time to finish this Dry Pastel on Canvas of Don’s image that Pat took on one of his IMG_9864-Edit-Edittrips here – Don’’ was setting at Starbucks at Tukcom for this shot – Don should be coming back to visit this month – I think Nong Kai then Pattaya – then back to US.   Look forward to seeing him again.
