Latest update on Blood Pressure

Sawadee Khrap

I’m beginning to think that my updates are undermining my recovery – every time I think my recovery is going great  – it backfires right after each update – hoping that is not the case this time.  I had to increase my dosage of Olmesartan to 20 mg daily, 10 Cialis or 10 Levitra, 3000 mg Fish Oil and 5 mg Folic acid.   I added the Levitra because the  Cialis was causing swelling in my feet (edema) and Levitra doesn’t do that but alas the erection strength is not as good.  So the best of both worlds is to alternate them.  Blood pressure running within the 125-138/60 now – going to have a blood test run again but the kidneys appear to be back to normal – so again No operation right now.

I do have sufficient moneys in reserve so I can set up the operation if needed but that’s not in the near future now and moving to Chiang Mai is my next planned adventure – too hazy now, maybe in a couple of months.  Going to start packing and getting ready -

I was planning on visiting my friend in Cebu and also taking a trip to see and photograph Angkor Wat before I move from Pattaya but it’s really getting hot around here and so I will put them off until the weather cools again – I want to enjoy the trips and be able to do some off road photo shoots  – heat kills my ass and would just make the  trips miserable – so just wait.

Love Art Park–Pattaya visit

Sawadee Khrap

If your visiting Pattaya – this is another new tourist attraction you shouldn’t miss – Love Art Park – Erotic Sculpture park   Soi 13/1 Na Jomtien, near the Phoenix Golf Course and Minosa.IMG_0920  IMG_0877  The 200 Baht admission (100 Baht Thai) is reasonable – you should plan on spending at least 2 hr there taking photos – excellent.  Too bad someone chopped off all the penis – would really look better as they were created – Damn critics and censors, but still a real fun place to visit and have your photos taken – I will definitely bring some boys here in the future.

They are also open in the evenings and light up the statues – I bet this would be a terrific photo experience and what I will try when I go the next time with someone.

Here is a Gallery of photos taken – not all of them but a good selection –

Memorial

Sawadee Khrap

This morning I awoke feeling a real loss – I could not make my daily call to my Mother.  I have been making daily calls for the last few months and just got back from a visit to the US to see her before she passed away.  She was 93.  My Father had passed away in 1983, right at the time I sobered up – now my Mother.MomDad-web  Every day I see in my actions and attitudes the lessons my parents taught me – the core values they lived and demonstrated  assured that ‘when I was ready’   I would have all the necessary tools to live a productive and rewarding life.  Integrity, a thirst for knowledge, with self assurance – winning attributes they showed me how to develop.

I say “when I was ready” because I did battle with addiction/alcoholism – but they both were there if and when I needed them.   I wish I had been there more for them.  Only in their passing, have I fully realized the powerful footing they gave me – Every day I discover that I say, or act exactly as they had taught me – I can hear their voice or picture their actions and I thank God that guidance will always be available.   RIP.    Love Frank

Have you ever asked your child a question too many times?

Sawadee Khrap

Here’s one from Paul’s Sunday Funnies –

My three-year-old son had a lot of problems with potty training and I was on him constantly. One day we stopped at Taco Bell for a quick lunch, in between errands It was very busy, with a full dining room. While enjoying my taco, I smelled something funny, so of course I checked my seven-month-old daughter, she was clean. Then I realized that Danny had not asked to go potty in a while. I asked him if he needed to go, and he said ‘No’ ..
I kept thinking  ‘Oh Lord, that child has had an accident, and I don’t have any clothes with me.’ Then I said, ‘Danny, are you SURE you didn’t have an accident?’  ‘No,’ he replied.  I just KNEW that he must have had an accident,  because the smell was getting worse.  Soooooo, I asked one more time, ‘Danny did you have an accident?  This time he jumped up, yanked down his pants,  bent over, spread his cheeks and yelled
‘SEE MOM, IT’S JUST FARTS!!’  While 30 people nearly choked to death on their tacos laughing, he calmly pulled up his pants and sat down.

Charlie and Sai Kaew Beach

Sawadee Khrap

Yesterday morning,IMG_2657IMG_2593 Charlie and I went to Sai Kaew Beach for a relaxing time – here are a couple of shots I took using the Canon G15 – I’ll have more later – The beach was almost empty, we got there about 9 AM and left after lunch – the full beach shot was taken from the road  as we left – at low tide.    Not sure what the sea animal is – I think it’s a Sea Worm or Bristle Slug.

Haven’t moved yet ???

CM smog

This is the second reason I haven’t moved back to Chiang Mai  – first being that I still may need the angioplasty operation.

Really bad up there again  -  sooner or later they are going to have to STOP the burning if they want to get a handle on the pollution – when  ??????  who knows   – it should be clearing up about the end of April so that would be a good time to make a move, providing that my BP has been stable and no operation is in sight.
