Merry Christmas

Sawadee Khrap

To be truthful I’m not really in the Christmas spirit this year.   No snow, and it is just a grand tourist shopping event here.  Tonight I sat in front of the computer and this is the best I could come up with.  Not depressed, just not into the festive mood.  But for all of you out there   MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR.

MerryChristmas2012There’s going to be lot of parties around Pattaya and shows for the holidays and I will try to record some shots or maybe a video – but no promises.

“Venue” Christmas Show 2012

Sawadee Khrap

_MG_1008Just went to the “Venue Christmas Show” – little darker than usual and the new LED background display is really bright and causes some problems for the camera.  But still I think I got some good representative shots of all of the acts.    Always something.

******* SLIDESHOW  *********

This is big slideshow – 307 photos – so takes a long time to see.

_MG_1467_MG_1798_MG_1851As usual GREAT SHOW – In my opinion, for your money you can’t find a better show in Pattaya, and what always amazes me is that all the performers are smiling and happy and really enjoy entertaining the guests – They will have a new show for New Year and I will try to attend and get something, maybe a movie – MERRY CHRISMAS

Hooker Story

Sawadee Khrap

Haven’t posted lately and Kevin sent me this good story – so I thought I would share:

A guy is walking along Pattaya Beach and a fantastic-looking hooker catches his eye. He strikes up a conversation and eventually asks the hooker: "How much do you charge?"   The Hooker replies: "It starts at 1500 Baht for a hand-job."

The guy says: "At today’s rates that’s $50 dollars? For a hand-job? Holy crap! No hand-job is worth that kind of money!"   The hooker says: "Do you see that Bar on the corner?"   "Yes"   "Do you see the Bar about a block further down?"   "Yes"  "And beyond that, do you see that third Bar?"  "Yes"   "Well," says the hooker, smiling invitingly, "I own those and I own them because I give a hand-job that’s worth 1500 Baht."

So the guy says, "What the hell? You only live once. I’ll give it a try."  They retire to a nearby motel. A short time later, the guy is sitting on the bed realizing that he has just experienced the hand-job of a lifetime, worth every bit of $50. He is so amazed, he says, "I suppose a blow-job is $100 ?"

The hooker replies, "6,000 Baht."   "I wouldn’t pay that for a blow-job!"  The hooker replies, "Step over here to the window, big boy. Do you see that Shopping Center just across the street? I own that building outright and I own it because I give a blow-job that’s worth every bit of 6,000 Baht …"  The guy, basking in the afterglow of that terrific hand-job, decides to put off the new car for another year or so and says: "Sign me up."

Ten minutes later, he is sitting on the bed more amazed than before. He can scarcely believe it but he feels he truly got his money’s worth. He decides to dip into the retirement savings for one glorious and unforgettable experience.

He asks the hooker: "How much for some pussy?"  The hooker says: "Come over here to the window, I want to show you something. Do you see how the whole city of Pattaya is laid out before us: all those beautiful lights, bars, restaurants, shopping centers, and shows?"

"Damn!" the guy says, in awe, "You own the whole city?"   "No" the hooker replies "but I would… if I had a pussy."

Of course I had to add a little embellishment for Pattaya.

Fiscal Cliff my ASS

Sawadee Khrap

Usually I don’t want to bring any politics or like controversy into this blog – But I have always maintained that the only want to clean up this mess is to clean up Congress.   Thanks Jim for sending me this.

Subject: Warren Buffet – please read.

Warren Buffett, in a recent interview with CNBC, offers one of the best quotes about the debt ceiling:  "I could end the deficit in 5 minutes," he told CNBC. "You just Pass a law that says that anytime there is a deficit of more Than 3% of GDP, all sitting members of Congress are ineligible For re-election.

The 26th amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds)    Took only 3 months & 8 days to be ratified! Why? Simple!   The people demanded it. That was in 1971 – before computers, e-mail, Cell phones, etc.  Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7) took one (1) year Or less to become the law of the land – all because of public pressure.

Warren Buffet is asking each addressee to forward this email to A minimum of twenty people on their address list; in turn ask Each of those to do likewise. In three days, most people in The United States of America will Have the message. This is one idea that really should be passed
Around.

Congressional Reform Act of 2012

1. No Tenure / No Pension.   A Congressman/woman collects a salary while in office and receives no Pay when they’re out of office.

2. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security.  All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into The Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.

3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.

4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

5. Congress loses their current health care system and Participates in the same health care system as the American people.

6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.

7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are void  Effective 12/1/12. The American people did not make this Contract with Congressmen/women.   Congress made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers Envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their Term(s), then go home and back to work.

Electing a President and expecting Him/Her to clean up this mess is a pipe dream and will not work – correct Congress and we can get back to demonstrating that Democracy works.

That’s my two cents –
