Sauna days in Pattaya–Nong Nooch Garden

Sawadee Khrap

When I first moved here the realtor told me of the sauna-like humid hot season that would come – so far I thought I had endured the hottest weather so far  – but lately, and I will assume until the cool season, I am in the SAUNA SEASON – almost 1 1/2 months of temps about 88F/30C with 100% humidly, rainy season at 90F —- but it does cool down a little during the night.   Chiang Mai wasn’t this bad – rainy season at 75F – tolerable at least.

And to top it off I just went to renew  my driver’s license and they had me watch a movie right in front of the A/C – left with a sever sore throat.  Now I have a nasty cold, head plugged up, coughing, nose running and I am sweating like a pig all day.  Life in Pattaya has taken another turn.  Cool season not until Nov.

Tai, my friend from Vietnam, is here for a short visit and yesterday we went out to see Image0001Nong Nooch Gardens.   A local tourist trap, but worth a one-time visit – designed mostly for the kids.  We didn’t stay to see the Elephant or Cultural shows – too hot and sweaty, but did take these images for the

***** SLIDESHOW *****

Note:   If you do come to Pattaya and need  a reliable driver and car – call Khun Bee  084-358 9283 – she works at Pan Pan – Jontiem and set us up with Khun Victor – great driver and car – reasonable price and honest – feel safe !

Birthday time – 72

Sawadee Khrap

Well I just made 72, planning on another grand slam Boy-Bar party when I reach 80, so hang in there – I’ll try.  The Last one at 70 at Adam’s Apple Chiang Mai was a great success.

I was going through my images this morning (raining out side – can’t go to beach) and came across these two I took in old Chiang Mai – thought you might like seeing them too.

Sometimes it’s difficult to tell whether you’re looking at a boy or girl without a specific manual test – here’s a perfect example _MG_6944-Edit– I thought this was rather sexy and actually could hang on anyone’s wall, but if you look closely you can see what I am talking about – but there is a dead give-a-way – spot it.

And for the leather fans – here’s one I liked but never posted_MG_3017-2 before.  Needless to say this photo session was a lot of fun too.

Reminiscing, I guess that’s what birthdays are for.

Well not raining now – off to the beach.

Priapus of Milet – Photoshop work

Sawadee Khrap

Thanks Larry for this link to some very erotic, adventurous, sensual Photoshop work and be prepared to see some very explicit images.

CaptureHe chooses images available across the web to construct colleges, using Photoshop to it’s full potential.  Gives me a lot of ideas for future possibilities for my models – although I’m sure that they won’t want to show that much detail – you know what I mean.

More information is available at Mitchmen – the blog     Enjoy!

Thailand’s Got Talent 2012

Sawadee Khrap

Thanks Kevin for sending me the links to several “Thailand’s Got Talent” auditions.  I really liked these:

Capture I bet you didn’t expect this one, usually I don’t put the girls in but this is an exception !   Don’t you agree?

Or this guy :  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5xYPrIhhiY&feature=related

and his final:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=jp6A9lpsORs  or this singer:

http://youtu.be/xhBYnBY4nwI or

many others listed in YouTube.   I don’t have the finals of 2012

ThailandsGotTalent   I am always amazed by the talent here in Thailand and most are self taught, coming from small villages throughout Thailand.  I wish they had English sub-titles , but talent is talent and quality is apparent in any language.  As for beauty, I hope my photos are doing justice to the many gorgeous young men just here in Pattaya.

Rule for life

Sawadee Khrap

One day I had lunch with some friends. Jim , a short, balding golfer type about 80 years old, came along with them—all in all, a pleasant bunch.

When the menus were presented, we ordered salads, sandwiches, and soups, except for Jim who said, "Ice Cream, please. Two scoops, chocolate.  I wasn’t sure my ears heard right, and the others were aghast. "Along with heated apple pie," Jim added,  completely unabashed.

We tried to act quite nonchalant, as if people did this all the time.. But when our orders were brought out, I didn’t enjoy mine.  I couldn’t take my eyes off Jim as his pie a-la-mode went down. The other guys couldn’t believe it. They ate their lunches silently and grinned.

The next time I went out to eat, I called and invited Jim . I lunched on white meat tuna. He ordered a parfait.  I smiled. He asked if he amused me.  I answered, "Yes, you do, but also you confuse me.

How come you order rich desserts, while I feel I must be sensible?  He laughed and said "I’m tasting all that is Possible.  I try to eat the food I need, and do the things I should. But life’s so short, my friend, I hate missing out on something good.  This year I realized how old I was. (He grinned)  I haven’t been this old  before."

"So, before I die, I’ve got to try those things that for years I had ignored. I haven’t smelled all the flowers yet. There are too many trout streams I haven’t fished. There’s more fudge sundaes to wolf down and kites to be flown overhead.  There are too many golf courses I haven’t played. I’ve not laughed at all the jokes. I’ve missed a lot of sporting events and potato chips and cokes. I want to wade again in water and feel ocean spray on my face. I want to sit in a country church once more and thank God for His  grace.  I want peanut butter every day spread on my morning toast. I want un-timed long distance calls to the folks I love the most. I haven’t cried at all the movies yet, or walked in the morning rain. I need to feel wind on my face. I want to be in love again.  So, if I choose to have dessert, instead of having dinner, then should I die before night fall, I’d say I died a winner, because I missed out on nothing. I filled my heart’s desire. I had that final chocolate mousse before my life expired."

With that, I called the waitress over.. "I’ve changed my mind, " I said. "I want what he is having, only add some more whipped cream!"   This is my gift to you – We need an annual Friends Day!   Live well, love much & laugh often – Be happy.

Thanks Jim (Chiang Mai) for this great story and excellent advice

World Junior Wrestling Championships

Sawadee Khrap

20120907_164326_0035__MG_5284Pattaya is hosting the “World Junior Wrestling Championships 2012” this week and I and friends went to see the action yesterday and today.  We were told that over 52 countries are represented by more than 600 athletes.  Running from Sept 4th to 9th at the Jontiem Indoor Stadium and then to awards at the Ambassador Hotel City Hotel.  First the girls (4th to 6th) and now the boys (8 – 9).

It was one match right after the other and the stage had 4 mat areas going at the same time -  2 categories (Greco-Roman and free style) ages 17-20 and each having their weight classes –  each class had only one day for completion – it was win or bust – can you imagine the stress to win on these athletes.  Many left the mat crying at their defeat.  I really feel sorry for the ones who lost – 3, 2 minute matches could mean success or failure for years of training.   Sorry we went to see the boys so missed the girls events.

20120908_180948_0040__MG_5899-Edit I prepared a    *****  SLIDESHOW *****  with 285 images out of

(SLIDESHOW HAS LONG LOAD TIME – PLEASE PREPARE TO WAIT)

the over 1400 shots I took.  It was really difficult getting good shots as these guys were really fast and the lighting was not that good for telephoto shooting from the grandstands – thank God for the D7

The other point that was amazing is that there was no hassling or problems the whole time we were there and antagonists such as the  US, Israel, Iran, Russia, China were all there – great competitors.  Security was in the background and not in your face – entrance was free – attendance mild.  I was amazed the there was little or NO fanfare for the winners or consoling for the losers.- maybe that’s for 10th and 11th – but seemed cold to me.  They worked so hard.

I just took photos today and we did not wait to see all the awards given – I also didn’t sort or label them – too much going on , I just keep shooting – sorry.

Frame I liked–especially the lines

Sawadee Khrap

Here’s an adaptation of a design I saw on the web – They had a lot of pencil sketches of girls, so naturally I abandoned them and changed the drawings to better suit this composition. I think the main aspect I liked was the lines they framed the image with – then to round it off I thought this image of Ink would fit in perfectly.   What do you think?

Sawadee Khrap

Need to make sure my file permissions for the blog are set correctly so I can still u/l using LiveWriter – so here are some beach shots:_MG_3725     I  thought this is a great colorful shot of what we see on DongTan Beach.  and the “Bondi” – meeting hole and bar.

_MG_3724And of course some of the boys came to join us where we sit on the beach– Jerry is on the left, Degs and Aod, Ink and their friends.

_MG_3749_MG_3736

Can’t miss Aod’s smile.   Not sure of the friends names and naturally I’m not in the photo being the photographer.

Now if you see this my LiveWriter post program is working correctly.
