Did some photos for Pea last week and finally found time to post them – shot in studio and then Photoshop’ed  – these two are my favorites.  Pea liked them and I hope you do too – comments welcome.

In addition:

It’s not been a good week – 2 people I know in hospital this week, got to visit them and both are doing OK -   In addition, Ton, who cleans my house has broken some ribs and will be out of commission for at least a month (it took me longer than that when I broke mine) – So I’ll be busy cleaning for a while.  Also working on photos for 2 other guys and when I get them approved I will post them too.

P.S.  Here’s another version of the first photo – Old fashion style.

Depression–not in my life

Sawadee Khrap

Jerry sent me this great picker-upper.

There was a man who lost one of his arms in an accident. He became very depressed because he had loved to play Golf. One day in his despair, he decided to commit suicide. He got on an elevator and went to the top of a building to jump off. He was standing on the ledge looking down and saw this man skipping along, whistling and kicking up his heels.

He looked closer and saw that this man didn’t have any arms at all. He started thinking, what am I doing up here feeling sorry for myself, I still have one good arm to do things with.  There goes a man with no arms skipping down the sidewalk so happy, and going on with his life.

He hurried down and caught up with the man with no arms. He told him how glad he was to see him because he had lost one of his arms and felt ugly and useless and was going to kill himself. He thanked him again for saving his life and he knew he could make it with one arm if that guy could go on with no arms. The man with no arms began dancing and whistling and kicking up his heels again. He asked, ‘Why are you so happy anyway?’

He said, ‘I’m NOT happy. My balls itch’

I’ll stop by over the weekend and get some photos too – Should be a great place to just relax and have a place to mingle earlier in the evening – I have always hated that Chiang Mai only had venues starting at 10 PM – Now I have a place to stop by and still be able to get home before 10:30   ha ha

Good luck Khun Mai ,  and also Hi to Note and Peter.

Hello Toes

Sawadee Khrap

Getting Old ???    Thanks Kevin for this gem.

An old fella was celebrating 92 years on this earth.

He spoke to his toes. "Hello toes.", he said.   "How are you?  You know, you are 92 today. Oh the times we’ve had!  Remember how we walked in the park in the summer every Sunday afternoon. The times we waltzed on the dance floor?   Happy Birthday toes!"

"Hello, knees.", he continued.   "How are you?   You know you’re 92 today.. Oh, the times we’ve had!   Remember when we marched in the parade?   Oh, the hurdles we’ve jumped together.   Happy Birthday, knees."

Then, he looked down at his crotch. "Hello Willie, you little bugger. Just think. If you were alive today, you’d be 92..

Loy Krathong 2011 Chiang Mai Parade

Sawadee Khrap

Friday 11th was Loy Krathong and the big evening parade.  I went with Mohamed, Pea and managed to get some good shots.  _MG_8074As usual I didn’t stay for the whole parade, it was slow coming and I only stayed for the first half or so – my back was really starting to hurt from all the standing.  Anyway here are some examples and be sure and check out the

Flood Relief Concert–Shan-Wat Pa Pao

Sawadee Khrap

Last week at Wat Pa Pao they held a concert to raise money for the BKK flood relief.  I stopped by for a little while to get some quick photos.  Met Wit and a couple of his friends there and we had a bit to eat before the show started.

It is very refreshing to see the guys_MG_7896 putting on makeup and lipstick to get ready to go to the show.  It is normal for Shan boys to wear lipstick and power at any of these events.

Many Shan showed up at the temple for the concert and I got some photos but as I said earlier I didn’t stay very long so I don’t have a big

Happy Halloween

Sawadee Khrap

HalloweenPartyNot much to write about this time – I did not go to any shows for Halloween – just too lazy and doing my Spring Cleaning before I figure out what I will need to move to Pattaya.  Minor car problems, some computer problems of my own making and Mohamed will arrive later this week from US.  That’s it for this week.
