Thanks Brian for letting me know about this new technology.  Check out this website for Lytro Cameras.  Looks great – but how much will it cost ???.  I have mine reserved, love the ability to take a photo in low-light and at fast speed – we will see. Just click on the area you would like to see in focus - anywhere in the photo - Amazing

My friend Max sent this link to Berlin’s Gay Day – that’s him in the first photo –  Reminds me of San Francisco – that part I miss.

Here’s something to think about from Paul’s “Sunday Funnies”

Michael Jordan having "retired," with $40 million in endorsements, he makes $178,100 a day, working or not.  If he sleeps 7 hours a night, he makes $52,000 every night while visions of sugarplums dance in his head. If he goes to see a movie, it'll cost him $7.00, but he'll make $18,550 while he's there.  If he decides to have a 5-minute egg, he'll make $618 while boiling it.  He makes $7,415/hour more than minimum wage.

If he wanted to save up for a new Acura NSX ($90,000) it would take him a whole 12 hours.  If someone were to hand him his salary and endorsement money, they would have to do it at the rate of $2.00 every second.

He'll probably pay around $200 for a nice round of golf, but will be reimbursed $33,390 for that round.  He'll make about $19.60 while watching the 100-meter dash in the Olympics and about $15,600 during the Boston Marathon.  This year, he'll make more than twice as much as all U.S. past Presidents for all of their terms combined. Amazing isn't it?

However...If Jordan saves 100% of his income for the next 500 years, he'll still have less than Bill Gates has at this very moment. Game over.      Nerd wins.

Thanks Kevin for pointing out the amazing photo (or actually this stitched 216 photo image).  Really great Panorama and shows what can actually be done.gigatag

I used 18 images to make the 4ft x 5ft  Mok Fa Waterfall photo on my Living room wall.

Just started to shoot HDR images – with the 7D, I have set up a special HDR shooting mode that will take 3 bracketed (2 stops apart) RAW images automatically.  _MG_5992-EditThe aperture is set to 5.6 and shutter is _MG_5959-Editadjusted in the 3 exposures. Almost point and shoot.  I chose some very high contrast scenes and used the HDR Pro in CS5 to process.  Check out the detail in the shadows while still maintaining the detail in the clouds – amazing.  _MG_6001-EditThese are all hand held shots too.  In fact I did over push the color of the sky – could be a little less intense blue, but that can be adjusted – now I want to try Photomatix Pro to see if it will give better results.
