Miss Healthy Thailand 2001

Sawadee Khrap

_MG_4096Just passing through the Kad Suan Kaew Central Shopping Center and caught the last part of the “Miss Healthy Thailand 2011” Ladyboy Beauty Contest.  I did manage to get shots of all for the 32 “girls” in the lineup, but could not stay to see the final voting results.  I’ll post who the winners were later.  This event is sponsored by M+ and is one of the many lead-ups to the Pattaya Miss Tiffany Title.  It’s hard to believe that there aren’t any ‘girl-girls’ in the lineup – nor backstage for that matter.

Note: There are about 285 photos so be prepared to sit back and enjoy with a cup of coffee or such:

Happy Easter–He has risen

Sawadee Khrap

Happy Easter to everyone

This is a good time of reflection for me.  1988, the year God took away my compulsion to drink and I realized a personal relationship with Christ.   Not the “christ” taught by the “church” ( each domination insisting their doctrine is the only true one) BUT, a real, personal, loving relationship with Jesus “The Christ”.  Accepting of all, without condemnation, based on Love and Acceptance.

That’s been 23 years, without drink  (and 22 years without smoke) and a real struggle to change my way of thinking and acting.  23 years of trying to come to terms with who and what I really am.  “A Child of God – One with Christ.

Not much to say about it – only my actions can really tell the truth – Jesus said “If you love me you will follow my commandments” – I can only hope and pray for the strength to do that – as He said “If you see me, you see my Father” – and I can only pray that others see a clearer reflection of God through me.

This is the world of differences, hatred, ego based decisions, limited, lonely and without hope, ending in death.  And YET, in this world, Christ has shown me a glimpse of Heaven.  Opened my eyes and set me on a path of discovery and peace.  I don’t even want to mention sexuality but my being “gay” was a major obstacle I had to come to terms with.  I love being me, I don’t want to be limited to any broad classification or group, I don’t want a label, I am just Frank, and I prefer to be in the company of men, and I thank God I have been brought to Thailand.  The story begins anew each day.

He Has Risen – Blessed Easter

Pea stopped by

Sawadee Khrap

_MG_2605-Edit-2Pea stopped by for a very short snapshot session – We plan on doing more next week when we have more time – But I thought you would like to see this handsome man’s portraits.  I did several shots when he was a monk in earlier posts – but really look forward to doing some sexy shots in the future – if he agrees I’ll post them here for all to see.

As you can see he is very striking and even better in person. Quite photogenic so I will have a lot to work with for some future shots.

Anyway  enjoy

Taxes Taxes Taxes it’s that time

Sawadee Khrap

At the end of the tax year, the IRS office sent an inspector to audit the books of a local hospital.

While the IRS agent was checking the books, he turned to the CFO of the hospital and said, "I notice you buy a lot of bandages.  What do you do with the end of the roll when there’s too little left to be of any use?"

"Good question ," noted the CFO.  "We save them up and send them back to the bandage company and every once in a while, they send us a free roll."

"Oh," replied the auditor, somewhat disappointed that his unusual question had a practical answer.  But on he went, in his obnoxious way. "What about all these plaster purchases?  What do you do with what’s left over after setting a cast on a patient?"

"Ah, yes," replied the CFO, realizing that the inspector was trying to trap him with an unanswerable question.  "We save it and send it back to the manufacturer and every so often they will send us a free bag of plaster."

"I see," replied the auditor, thinking hard about how he could fluster the know-it-all CFO.  "Well," he went on, "What do you do with all the remains from the circumcision surgeries?"

"Here, too, we do not waste," answered the CFO.  "What we do is save all the little foreskins and send them to the IRS office, and about once a year they send us a complete prick."

Thanks Jim for this one.

Meet “S”

Sawadee Khrap

Just got the new camera back – Canon did not honor the warranty in Thailand so I had to pay to get it fixed – kind’a  “fucked” for what is being called a “Professional” camera.  But,  I am back to shooting again.

But I also have a lot of catch up to do of photos I have taken with the old 350D and the new lens._MG_9005-Edit

  • Poi Sang Long – Wat Pa Pao
  • Songkran at Huay Keaw Shopping Center

and photos with “S” from Bangkok.

I’ll post the first two as soon as I get them finished, but in the meantime here are several shots of “S”.   This was a quick photo session as he was only visiting Chiang Mai for a couple of days – I quickly ran these through and now waiting for S’s reply.  He took a copy of all the images with him so he could edit them at his leisure – and I’m looking forward to seeing his Photoshop work.  Hopefully I’ll be able to post them here too._MG_8733-Edit

Your Mobile Phone–did you know?

Sawadee Khrap

Here are 5 important things that most people don’t know their mobile phone will do.   Thanks Max for sending me this info.

Emergency Number worldwide

For all Mobile Phones is 112. If you find yourself out of  the coverage area of your mobile network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and your mobile will search any existing network in your area to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked. This works on all phones worldwide and is free. It is the equivalent of 999.

Have you  locked your keys in the car?

Does  your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone:  If you lock your keys in the car Continue reading “Your Mobile Phone–did you know?”

Bank Etiquette

Sawadee Khrap

A crusty old man walks into a bank and says to the teller at the window, “I want to open a fucking checking account.”

The astonished woman replies, “I beg your pardon, sir; I must have misunderstood you. What did you say?”

“Listen up, damn it. I said I want to open a god damn  checking account right now!”

“I’m very sorry sir, but we do not tolerate that kind of language in this bank.”

So saying, the teller leaves the window and goes over to the bank manager to tell him about her situation.  They both return and the manager asks the old geezer, “What seems to be the problem here?”

“There’s no fucking problem; “ the man says, “I just won 50 million bucks in the god damn lottery and I want to open a fucking checking account in this god damn bank!.”

“I see”, says the manager, “and this b – – ch is giving you a hard time ?”

Need new glasses – come to Chiang Mai

Sawadee Khrap

I just purchased the best pair of glasses I have ever worn.

Best service, and price.  9,000 Baht or $300 US    Service included electronic eye focal examination with personal testing using  replacement lenses.  The glasses are made with designer magnesium frames, UV protection, transitional (Grey), light weight – scratch resistant plastic. – Wow Great.

TopCharoenOptical-CMKhun Ocha (left) and Khun Pong in their “Top Charoen Optical” store on the CharyaPhum Rd (outer moat – Thapae Gate side) , right next to “Northwest Wheels”  is the place to go.  Tel: +66 053 252 393

It’s worth a trip to Chiang Mai.  You can almost fly here – have a weeks vacation – fly back,  for the same price you’d pay for new glasses in the States.  Pick up some clothes (Designer), new luggage and meet some of the lovely young men here at the same time.

Hope you come to visit.

Just playing around with Photoshop

Sawadee Khrap

Now that the new camera is in for repair, and I have some time on my hands I thought I would make some quick modifications of the photos we took of the Adam’s Apple Boys some time back.

IMG_8673-Edit

I Just grabbed some photos and put them into new backgrounds.

Wanted to see what the final effects would be and how radical I could start to make them – I know they will need a lot more work but I thought I’d post them anyway.

The cube background was a very complicated setup that I d/l from PixelDesign and tried to use – I need to really work on this one to explore all the different ways to incorporate different images.
