I know I must have missed many great and wonderful experiences as I ran through life in the Bay Area.  Thank God, now I can relax and smell the roses and here in Chiang Mai I find many, many roses.  We all need to slow down and see what our environment offers to us – San Francisco, Chiang Mai or wherever you are – beauty is everywhere – It’s really just the reflection of God’s Love in this world.  I hope you can slow down to enjoy it too -

IMG_6048-GoldCard-webJust got back from a short trip to see my very close friend Kain (King of the Nursing Major) at Mae Fah Luang University in Chiang Rai and his lovely Queen, Mae, in the parade for Loy Krathong.  Lighting was very bad and I didn’t have the large flash so many of the shots were very dark, I am working on them and will post later.

But here is the shot I have finished so far.  I will get them ready for Kain first and then post a slideshow on the blog. By the way Kain’s Major group also won for making the best Krathon

My friend Brian just sent me this request to post:

Due to the recent influx of refugees in Mae Sot and other areas in Thailand recently please collect any old or new clothes and bring them to SoupaSteak Restaurant. Condition is not important, nor is size.  Children and adults clothing shoes and blankets are all very welcome. If possible the items should be clean. Any other items you may think of may also be stored there but if the item is large please call Brian first before delivery on

086 111 77 66

SoupaSteak is located opposite the Shell Gas Station just up from Central Kad Suan Kaew on Huay Kaew Road.

Sorry I overwrote the first Paul’s joke – here is is again

Little RALPHY returns from school and says he got an F in arithmetic.   'Why?' asks the father? 'The teacher asked 'How much is 2x3,'' I said '6', replies RALPHY.   'But that's right!' says his dad. 'Yeah, but then she asked me 'How much is 3x2?'' 'What's the fuckin' difference?' asks the father. 'That's what I said!'

My God, Here’s another good one from Paul’s “The Sunday Funnies”  Nov 7,2010

A precious little girl walks into a pet shop and asks, in the sweetest little lisp, between two missing teeth, "Excuth me, mithter, do you keep widdle wabbits?" As the shopkeeper's heart melts, he gets down on his knees so that he's  on her level and asks, "Do you want a widdle white wabbit, or a thoft and fuwwy, bwack wabbit, or maybe one like that cute widdle bwown wabbit over there?"    She, in turn, blushes, rocks on her heels, puts her hands on her knees, leans forward and says, in a tiny quiet voice, "I don't think my python weally gives a thit."
